Vol.-nitrate and vol.-ammonium are volatile nitrate and volatile ammonium, respectively, which are collected on back-up filters as HNO₃ and NH₃ from NH₄NO₃ dissociation on the Teflon filter.

PM_coarse = PM₁₀ – PM_2.5. PCM(CH1) and PCM(CH3) = particle composition monitor, channels 1 and 3, respectively.

Dichot = dichotomous sampler. IC = ion chromatography; AC = automated colorimetry; TOR = thermal optical reflectance; XRF = X-ray fluorescence
