Purpose: The impactor filter serves to trap large particles. Changing the impacter filter insures that these large particles do not enter the air stream. The impactor is located just below the denuders/monolith and above the filter pack.

Kimwipes
krytox lubricant.

Channel #1&2
1. Remove the impactor by unscrewing from the bottom of the denuder.
2. Separate the two parts of the impactor and lay the pieces on a clean Kimwipe on a flat surface.
3. Remove the old filter using a Kimwipe.
4. Thoroughly inspect and clean any oil or debris from the impactor well.
5. Place a clean filter in the well along with a dropper full of oil.
6. Put a very small amount of krytox lubricant on the threads between the two halves of the impactor.
7. Using your finger, spread the krytox until there is a thin, even coating.
8. Replace the impactor.
9. Perform a leak check.
