O3 Zero-Prec-Span Audit and Calibration
Purpose: To insure the accuracy
of the O3 Analyzer. This is done using
the O3PS Analyzer to overflow the inlet with a range of ozone
concentrations. Then the O3 Analyzer and
O3PS Analyzer response is compared for accuracy. The O3PS Analyzer is calibrated to a Transfer
Standard that is calibrated using a federal method. Before starting any calibration checks make sure the system is
leak free.

Finish by turning the
service mode off.
49 S Analyzers
1.
To adjust the Frequency/
Intensity on a 49 S Analyzer press the A button under Test.
2.
Open the cover of the
instrument and locate the adjustment screws.
On the left side of the instrument there are two gold tubes. The left tube is side A and the right is side
B. There is a gold triangular block

The large setscrew for each tube is located on each side of the block
and the small locking screw is located on the top.
3.
Loosen the small locking
screw and turn the large setscrew for side A.
The frequency on the front of the instrument will increase or decreases
depending on what direction you turn the setscrew. If the setscrew (screw driver cutout on the
setscrew) is parallel with the gold sample tube then the Frequency can’t be
adjusted. Try and clean the sample tube
and/or replace the lamp.
