NO3/NH4/SO Inlet Filter Replacement
Purpose: Replace the three 7 micron filter elements in the
NO3/NH4/SO4 Inlet.
Required Equipment:
Three 7 micron filter elements,
One
pair of plastic gloves,
9/16”
wrench
Two
3/4” wrenches,
Kimwipes.

Changing the NO3/NH4/SO4
Inlet Filters:
1.
At the PC, down
the “NO3NH4” & “SO4” channels.
2.
At the NO3/NH4
inlet box, open the inlet box cover.
3.
Locate the 3
inlet filter holders - they are stainless and are approximately 3 inches long.
4.
Replace the
filters one at a time.
5.
Put on the
plastic gloves (do not handle the filters with your hands).
6.
Remove the first
filter housing using the 9/16” wrench.
7.
Unscrew the
filter holder using the two 3/4” wrenches and remove the used filter.
8.
Using a kimwipe
clean the inside of the filter holder (do not use water or alcohol unless
authorized).
9.
Install a new
filter out of the package. Be sure to
install it the same way the old filter was removed.
10.
Carefully align
the filter holder pieces and screw together.
Tighten with the 3/4” wrenches.
11.
Repeat for the 2 remaining
filters.
12.
Cap the
NO3/NH4/SO4 inlet and do a leak check.
13.
Verify everything
is in place in the NO3/NH4 inlet box, close and secure the cover.
14.
At the PC, up the
“NO3NH4” & “SO4” channels.
15. In TrackOps, close the “NO3/NH4/SO4 Inlet Filter Replacement” ticket.
