Gas Inlet Filter Replacement - Rural (weekly) - Urban (3 day)

 

Purpose:  Replace the 5 - 37mm Savillex (#1145) Teflon inlet filters in the Trace Gas Tower.

 

Required Equipment:  Packet of 37mm Savillex (#1145) Teflon filters,

                                        One pair of plastic gloves,

                                        Tweezers,

                                        3/8” socket w/handle or 3/8” wrench.

                 1.  At the PC, down the “Gas Channels”

                 2.  At the Trace Gas Tower, lower the inlet box

                 3.  Open the inlet box cover

                 4.  Locate the 5 inlet filter holders - they are blue & white screw together holders

                 5.  Replace the filters one at a time

                 6.  Put on the plastic gloves (do not handle the filters with your hands)

                 7.  Unscrew the filter holder, remove the used filter.

                 8.  Using the tweezers, take a filter out of the packet and install it in the filter holder

                 9.  Carefully align the filter holder pieces and screw together - do not over tighten

                10.  Repeat for the remaining 4 filters

                11.  Cap the trace gas inlets and do a leak check, resolve any leaks, continue

                12.  Verify everything is in place in the inlet box, close and secure the cover, raise the inlet box

                13.  At the PC, up the “Gas Channels”

                14.  In TrackOps, close the “Gas Inlet Filter Replacement” ticket.
