FRM Download

Purpose:  Follow these steps to download data from the FRM 2025 instrument.

Required Equipment:  None

Reference:  SOPMAN

1. Set manual data switch box to FRM channel.
2. On the computer desktop, you should find an icon labeled “RPComm”.  Double click to open this program.
3. Select File from the top tool bar.
4. Select “RP Equipment” from the list.
5. Select “FRM” from the list.
6. Select the small icon on the tool bar that appears to be a telephone.  Use this to “Connect to selected instruments”.  A new dialog window will appear.
7. Select the button labeled “Select all data” indicated by a blue circle, if it is not already depressed.  This will allow you to download all the data at one time.
8. Select “Storage Pointer” icon.  This icon has two lines above a single downward pointing arrow.
9. Select the “Save all displayed data to a file” button from the toolbar.  This icon has a small floppy disk on the top of it.
10. Another dialog window will appear to save the data.  You will be prompted to save the filter, interval and input data.
11. Before actual saving, you will need to give the file being saved a new name.  The easiest way would be for you to choose one of the files already saved.  Just change the date to today’s date. Save this file as a text file by adding .txt extension on the end of the file name.
