Dichot Fine Filter Change

 

Purpose:  To collect and send in filter for analysis.  This should be completed on a regular sample change day, preferably on the day when the Dichot Inlet Flow/Leak checks are performed.

 

Required Equipment:  Large wrench to unscrew the Dichot filter assembly

                                                   Aluminum foil

                                                   Petri dish

                                                   New MACTEC Dichot filter

  1. Locate an unexposed filter sent to the site from MACTEC.
  2. Take the unexposed filter up to the Dichot inlet.
  3. Carefully unscrew the section under the plate marked “DiFine” and remove the cassette.
  4. The cassette will come apart to release the exposed filter.
  5. Place the exposed filter in a Petri dish marked with the dates sampled and store in the freezer.
  6. Remove from the Petri dish the clean unexposed filter sent from lab.
  7. Load the cassette with clean filter.
  8. Replace the cassette with the now clean filter back in the side marked “DiFine”.
  9. Perform a leak check.
